Deep Discount DVD - Sony Buy 1 Get 1 Free
Finally some more online deals.
Deep Discount DVD has rolled out another buy 1 get 1 free sale, this time from Sony. Lots of Sony TV series and movies including Seinfeld, Charlies Angels and Dawsons Creek are on offer. Unfortunately it seems DDD has increased some of their prices before offering the B1G1 free deal. Still pretty much everything in the sale will end up being the best current online price, so you can’t complain too much.
Second Spin 20% off all DVDs
Wow it’s been a week since my last entry, unfortunately there has been a dearth of online DVD bargains. Maybe everyone is in hibernation waiting for DDD’s much anticipated November 20% off sale?
Anyway today finally brought a decent deal. Used DVD retailer Second Spin is offering 20% off all DVDs until October 30. There’s usually a few bargains to be found amongst Second Spin sales so if you’re suffering bargain withdrawl symptons take a look.
Deep Discount DVD - A&E Buy 1 Get 1 Free
They sure do love a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale at DDD, the Paramount sale has just concluded and already they’re making another attempt to bankrupt us. This time time the studio in question is A&E so there’s lots of classic British TV on offer.
A&E is still running their own sale so it’s worth checking both sites to ensure you get the best deal.
Frys.com opening sale! 24 Season 1 - 4 $80, Stargate S1-9 $135
Frys.com is having a one day opening sale. There are some nice deals to be had including Stargate seasons 1 -9 for $135 and 24 Seasons 1 - 4 for $80. Alternately individual seasons of Stargate are $16.99 and individual seasons of 24 are appropriately $24. All of those prices beat the next best online deals quite handily.
Family Video $5 off $5 coupon.
Family Video is offering a damn nice $5 off no mimimum coupon. The offer is only available to first time shoppers but if like me hadn’t heard of them prior to this coupon you should be fine. The coupon code you need is NEWMEM96.
Shipping is only 99 cents so there’s definitely some good deals to be bad.
Second Spin free shipping returns. Finds itself less cool than before.
Second Spin is running their relatively common free shipping promo again (expires 22 Oct). Only this time instead of a $0 minimum spend you need to spend $50. It’s still not a bad deal but I can’t get overly excited. if you’re more excited than me you’ll need to use the coupon code ZEROSHIP to claim your free shipping.
Hopefully tommorow will bring something more interesting…
Chronicles of Narnia discounted, Buy.com $10 off $30 redux
Deep Discount DVD has dropped the price on the BBC version of Chronicles of Narnia to $19.98. This isn’t the 2005 hit movie version but rather a UK adaption of the first three books spanning 3 DVD’s. it’s low budget but the reviews are generally good.
Also today Buy.com has launched a Columnbia TV on DVD sale which can be combined with the previously mentioned $10 off $30 google checkout offer for some good deals.
A&E up to 80% off sale. Nero Wolfe detected at a low price.
A&E are running a sale with up to 80% off 113 items. Most of the titles listed are in the 50% - 60% off range making A&E the cheapest online retailer for almost all the items on sale.
The complete 2 seasons of Nero Wolfe are available for $39.98 or for some more low brow entertainment the Best of Dog The Bounty Hunter S2 is only $7.98. Of course there are tonnes of the documentaries A&E is known for available as well.
Shaved Natalie Portman action now more reasonably priced
Amazon has discounted the 2 disc special edition of V for Vendetta to $13.99 over $5 cheaper than the next best online retailer. Wether you want appreciate V for Vendetta for its IMDB top 250 goodness or just like the thought of a shaved Natalie Portman this is the deal for you.
Amazon joins the Halloween horror sale frenzy
Just one quick dvd deal for today. Amazon has launched their Halloween sale with up to 50% off a decent range of horror movies. Quite a few of the titles on sale here are also on sale at DDD so it’s worth checking both to make sure you get the best deal.
